1. Who we are
The capitole-nyon.ch website and the Cinéma Capitole newsletter are operated by:

Capitole Entertainment Sàrl is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
2. What data we collect and why
Newsletter. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect: your title (optional), first name, last name, e-mail address, postcode (optional), country (optional) and preferred language (French or English). This data is used for one purpose only: sending you the Cinéma Capitole newsletter (programme, previews, events, offers). Subscription is based on your explicit consent, confirmed by a validation e-mail (double opt-in). The date, time and origin of your consent are recorded.
Open statistics. Like most newsletters, our e-mails contain technical elements telling us whether they were opened and which links were clicked. This information is used solely to improve the newsletter’s content.
Contact form and e-mails. When you write to us (in particular at info@capitole-nyon.ch), we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to handle your request.
Online ticketing. Tickets and gift vouchers are purchased through the ticketing system operated by our provider Advance Ticket, accessible from capitole-nyon.ch or directly at advance-ticket.ch. Advance Ticket technically operates this system (PCI-DSS certified). Data related to your purchases (identity, email address, order history) is processed on behalf of Cinéma Capitole, which uses it for customer relationship management and, within the limits of the law, to inform you about its offers and services. The online sales terms are available at advance-ticket.ch/cg/prem.
3. Who has access to your data
Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed by the following technical providers, strictly within the purposes described:
- Brevo (Brevo SAS, Paris, France): newsletter sending platform — data hosted in the European Union, recognised by Switzerland as providing an adequate level of protection
- Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC, USA): protection of the subscription form against bots — subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service; technical data (IP address, browsing behaviour) may be transferred to the USA under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework
- Infomaniak (Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland): hosting of capitole-nyon.ch — data hosted in Switzerland
4. How long we keep your data
Newsletter data is kept for as long as your subscription is active. If you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the mailing list; a minimal record (address and unsubscribe date) may be kept to ensure you no longer receive our messages. E-mail correspondence is kept for the time needed to handle your request, then archived or deleted in line with our legal obligations.
5. Your rights
Under the FADP, you have the following rights at any time:
- Right of access: know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy
- Right of rectification: have inaccurate data corrected
- Right of erasure: request deletion of your data
- Right to object: object to processing, in particular unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every e-mail or the preferences page
- Right to data portability: receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used electronic format
To exercise these rights, write to info@capitole-nyon.ch. We reply within 30 days. To protect your data, we may ask you to prove your identity before responding. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access restricted to authorised persons, certified providers. However, no transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies
The website uses technical cookies required for its operation, the reCAPTCHA service on the subscription form (see section 3), and Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) to measure and manage site audience. Google Analytics 4 does not log visitors’ full IP addresses. Browsing data collected (pages viewed, technical data) may be transferred to the USA under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Some pages may also embed third-party content (YouTube trailers, Google Maps) whose display transmits your IP address to the relevant provider. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated, in particular if our tools or the law change. The applicable version is the one published on this page, with its last-updated date.
