Dans les années 1930 à Paris, Victoria Grant, une chanteuse classique, ne trouve plus aucun contrat. Alors qu’elle touche le fond, elle rencontre un homosexuel quinquagénaire, Carroll Todd dit Toddy, qui imagine de la faire passer pour un homme, spécialisé dans les spectacles de travestis…

Victoria Grant, a british soprano, struggles to find work in the nightclubs of 1930s Paris. When Victoria meets cabaret performer Toddy, he comes up with an original idea :  acting as her manager, Toddy pass her off as a female impersonator. A woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman… when the nightclubs eat it up, the duo makes it big. But keeping the truth a secret is no easy task…
